How to decide whether LinkedIn Ads is something for your business?

Which is a very common questions for start-ups.

At Alamere we at times work with organizations that haven’t even started with LinkedIn Ads yet. Or sometimes have 2 or 3 campaigns under their belt.

And in a way we like that. Because we get to work with you from the very beginning and build the strategy together!

However, it is also a crucial moment for your marketing strategy. Failing with the initial campaigns means you will have to compensate later to see positive ROI.

So what are some of the factors that can predict the success of your initial campaigns? Below you will find the three main factors we look at. However, as usual, those are not necessarily dealbreakers or guarantees for results!

  1. How many monthly website visitors do you currently have? Hundreds (or even more)? In that case LinkedIn could be a potential gold mine for you. 95% of your audience is not looking to buy now. So not staying in front of that audience after they visit your website for the first time is risky. You may very well lose their attention (and business). But! LinkedIn Ads let you retarget those visitors easily, making this the first thing we usually set up for our clients.

  2. What do you have to offer to your potential audience? Not talking about discounts here but material. Whitepapers, Guides, Video, Thought Leadership articles etc. If you already have that kind of material then LinkedIn will likely work. People visit the platform to educate themselves on challenges they see. Not to be sold to. Make sure you follow that in order to see results.

  3. Can you set reasonable (budget) expectations? Seeing any immediate & major results are very rare. Besides, you need to be prepared to spend a bit more than on other platforms. But having a clear strategy that you stick with from the beginning is the key to success.

80% of marketing results come from 20% of your decisions. Make sure to have those decisions based on a solid foundation and on strategic decisions backed up with facts & data.
