About
This company is an 18-person tech startup in the heart of Silicon Valley, founded in 2018. Recently, they made a major shift: infusing AI across their business, marketing included.
The challenge
Like many companies today, they were experimenting with AI-generated content. The problem was that the results quickly fell flat. The copy sounded generic, the content was misaligned with their product, and it lacked their voice.
The root issue? Inputs that are not curated and complete.
AI only performs as well as what you feed it. In this case, basic prompts focused on output without any deeper structure or direction. That’s why the content lacked impact.
What we did
First, we reverse-engineered how their team had been using AI. That uncovered two key gaps:
- Lack of clear instructions: We created a 12-page guidance document. This covers all AI needed to know for these campaigns. This document would serve as the guardrails to produce the content we wanted it to produce.
- No sample library: We helped them build a reference library of great content. This gives AI something to mimic, cutting hallucinations and ensuring brand fit.
Only once these foundations were in place did we start working on their campaigns:
A full content calendar, messaging that speaks to their audience, and visuals that make the posts pop.
Results
Four months in, the results speak for themselves:
- Organic: Inbound leads have increased, and people who book calls start to mention the content that’s what caught their attention.
- Paid: Their ads are outperforming industry benchmarks by 50%.
- Operations: Their team is saving hours each week, thanks to structured & scalable AI workflows.
AI is powerful. But only when you implement it with intention and context.
